At the 90's anniversary of the School of Fine Arts, the film "Titus, Margot and I," a feature film that invites us to look closely at the story of the Assoluta whale cousin, the Spanish lady Margot Fonteyn, and her husband, and his lawyer and Panamanian politician Roberto "Tito" Arias, was held..
The film, as its filmmakers explain, does not purport to judge but to portray with sensitiarity a story that belongs to another age. "Titus, Margot and I" intertwines the biographical with the political, offering an intimate look at the relationship between its protagonists, while recasting little known fragments of national history.
Following the projection, directors Mercedes Arias and Delfina Vidal shared with the public their personal motivations to tell this story, challenges of production and the warm reception that the documentary has had since its release.
Winner of the 2017 Fondo Cine National Contest in the Documentary category, "Titus, Margot and I" had its premiere at the eleventh edition of the Panama International Film Festival (2022).
The activity, held at the Roque Cordero Auditorium of Ciudad de Las Artes, was held jointly between the Fine Arts Center of the National University of Panama and the National Cinematography and Audiovisual Section of the Ministry of Culture of Panama..
