The "Panama Series Festival" successfully held the award ceremony of its sixth edition, an event that recognizes local and international audiovisual talent.
The gala was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the Herbert Auditorium of Castro of the City of Las Artes.
The festival's director, Henry Abrego, explained that the initiative came after his project "Zonians," a web series, to different international festivals, enabling him to identify the opportunity to create a similar platform in Panama. Currently, the Panama Series Festival has four years of track and six editions performed..
Abrego emphasized that this edition was welcomed by the public as well as an extensive participation of national and international productions. He also expressed his appreciation for the support of several institutions, including the National Cinema Board (DICINE), which facilitated the conduct of activity at the headquarters of the City of Las Artes. He also noted his interest in maintaining the categories that recognize local talents introduced this year and with new awards, such as best edition and best sound, to continue strengthening recognition of Panamanian audiovisual work..
The categories awarded during this issue were: Best Director, Best Panama Director, Best Actor, Best Panama Actor, Best Actress, Best Panama Actress, Best Long Film, Best National Shortings, Best LATM Shortings, Best Television Pilot, Best Latin American Series, Best Documentary Series and Best Web Series.
That activity was undertaken with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Panama through the National Cinematography and Audiovisual Section (DICINE) and the City of Las Artes (CdLA).
