14 FESTIVAL FROM 23 TO 27 NOVEMBER 2022

It's all ready for the 14th Hayah International Cortometry Festival of Panama from November 23 to 27 at its Dorado Cinema headquarters and Riande Urban Hotel, where as well as enjoying 45 film productions in short and video format from around the world, the Festival will come back with its Hayah Connect academic training space.

The Hayah remains a space created by the need to promote dialogue and reflection while contributing to continuing to train the local public. Since its creation, it has been a witness to collaborations between local filmmakers and numerous dialogues to reflect on our own cinema.

The Festival continues to believe faithfully in film art as an instrument to impact our culture and thus invites all interested parties to participate throughout the festival.

To this issue we will be pondering about the course of our cinema, creating an identity and how new technologies converge about how to tell stories. The Hayah Connect educational program will be complemented with a short film development and project management laboratory that will be dictated by the Colombian Foundation "something in common" and will also have free lectures and classes about different film crafts.

The Hayah Festival was co-sponsored by the Cinema Section of the Ministry of Culture and was organized by Hello October and Founding Casa del Cinema, under the leadership of its director Mariel Garcia Spooner and its producer Jean Paul Vizuete.
