Cynasts and MiCultura united to amend regulations of Cinema Act

Representatives of trade unions and film associations met with the team of the Ministry of Culture (ASINNE), through the Cinema Board (DICINE), to resume the work tables to amend the regulations of the Cinema Act dating back to 2012. At the meeting, the directors of the Panama Cinema Association (ASINNE), of the Procinema guild and of the Network of Audiovisual Creators of Panama, who expressed their complacency with the reactivation of the work tables that seek to achieve a better and better performance of the Panamanian film industry and to help them with the best benefits of the Panamanian industry, have been better and have been better been better represented by their best partners and with their best partners and with their best practice.
The president of ASSOCINE, Luis pacheco, also reported on the work as a whole that reflected progress with amendments to the regulations of the film law. The contributions to the regulations of the Cinema Act will allow us to update the regulations with a view to improving administrative processes and to strengthening the bases of the Fondo Cine National Research Competition, training and development projects, the creation of a short film contest, development and production strategies for Panamanian film production and the establishment of the National Cinematographic Council.
For his part, Sheila González, director of DICINE, stated that it was extremely important to put into practice the work that had been initiated some months earlier as they were the basis for giving the local film industry sustainability.
