WITH THE YEAR INITIY REABRIED THE UNIVERSITARIAT KINGDOM

The GECU University Cinema at the University of Panama (UP)The only room that exists in the country to promote the appreciation of good cinematography throughout the world between the university family and the public at large, has re-opened its doors with the start of 2023, retaking its schedule from Monday to Friday at only 3 and 5pm hours during the current summer season of the UP with free entrance.

The room was opened 44 years ago, in 1978, and since that time has been an effective alternative for the complete education of the student, that come into contact with the culture of several countries by means of film proposals different from those offered by our commercial film circuit and has been, moreover, an open centre to all cinephiles and filmmakers of our medium, both for viewing classical and contemporary cinema and for complementary activities such as workshops, seminars and talks about the seventh art.

The University Cinema is situated on the main street of the Central Campus of the UP after the Savings Fund, opposite the courtyard of the School of Humanities.
