Panama International Film Festival (IFF Panama), announces its Opening Movie for its eleventh edition.

The film "Stars at Noon," filmed in Panama, will open the eleventh edition of the Panama International Film Festival, IFF Panama.
The IFF Panama Foundation (FIP) announces the tape of the opening ceremony and its director Claire Denis will be present. The film became an attester of the Grand Prix, Jury Prize, at the 75th edition of the Cannes Festival last May. IFF Panama shows year after year that Cinema is Life.
Panama, November 2022. IFF Panama Foundation (FIP) announces that "Stars at Noon" will launch the eleventh edition of the Panama International Film Festival that will be held from December 2 to 4, 2022 and brings a selection of 16 films, national and international guests, and a robust educational program to promote the development of local and regional industry.
For this occasion, the presence of French filmmaker and film director Claire Denis was confirmed. "Stars at Noon" won the Grand Prix Jury Award at the last edition of the Festival of Cannes. The film was filmed completely in Panama following Denis's visit to the third edition of IFF Panama in 2014.
The president of the Board of Directors of Founding IFF Panama, Pituka Ortega Heilbron with his partner Marcela Heilbron, are executive producers of the film and they worked leading the Panamanian team that made this production a reality: "with" Stars at Noon "we became Panama's leading player as well as our industry's work and growth," Ortega Heilbron remarked.
The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, December 2nd at The Ateneo of the City of Knowledge. Tickets for this and all IFF Panama's projections will be available through the panatickets.com
As part of the agenda during the weeks leading up to its opening, members of the film industry, social media and students will be accredited to participate in IFF Panama 2022, to be held this year from 2 to 4 December.
