FUNCATION IFF PANAMES TO ABUSE its CONVOCATORY TO THE SECOND EDITION OF its FULL MATCH FIRE

For the second consecutive year, the film industry of Central America and the Caribbean is called upon to participate with projects currently undergoing the development of fiction, documentary and hybrid.

Panama, October 2021. Foundation IFF Panama (FIP) announced the call for the second edition of the IFF Panama Film Match, a co-production Forum of Central America and the Caribbean, an initiative that aims to bring together the developing film projects of the region with producers, distributors, sales agents and international film industry professionals.

By promoting co-production and access to international film funds and markets, IFF Panama Film Match will conduct dedicated meetings with potential investors, producers, distributors, international sales agents and industry guests participating in the tenth edition of the Panama International Film Festival (IFF Panama) with the aim of strengthening projects and their presentations to different markets.

IFF Panama Film Match is itself a tool for producers and directors of the region to expand their network of contacts and have access to international funds that support co-production, markets, festivals and decision-makers from the film industry, that come together year after year to celebrate the seventh art. That forum will be held thanks to the financing of BID Lab, Innovation Laboratory of the Qzx31qQ Group.

Announcement of select projects: November 17, 2021.

Forum: from 2 to 4 December 2021.

A dual project can be run as a director and a producer and 10 projects will be chosen at this run-up.

The project title (Spanish and english), country of origin, gender, estimated duration, 1-page overview, information from the director and producer, and an argument, among other information, should be included and to be eligible should have at least 20% of the financing already guaranteed. Those projects that send up an incomplete posting will be eligible.

IFF Panama's tenth edition from 3 to 5 December continues to strengthen and expand its program dedicated to local and regional film industry through the educational activities that are being undertaken every year. At this occasion, with the financing of the BID Lab, Research Laboratory of the BID Group, the call for the second edition of the Central American and Caribbean Co-production Forum: IFF Panama Film Match, with the aim of bringing with them the other production projects in development and with the end of the world's production and production networks.

The international jury will determine and have the power to distribute the prize of USD 10 million to the categories they consider. Postulation to the II Forum of Co-production - IFF Panama Film Match has no cost. The participants are requested to have their full commitment to a letter of assistance once the project has been selected. Additionally, the participating projects undertake to include the logos of the Panama International Film Foundation FIP, IFF Panama Film Match and IDB Lab in the credits of the film.
