MiCultura INICIA TULLER FAMATION FOR CENTROAMERICA CINEASTS - FSPI AGENDA IN FRANCE

IN RESPONSE TO THE FSPI AGENDA OF FRANCE, MiCultura INICIA TALLER TO CAPACY CENTROAMERICA INESTS

Twelve Central American filmmakers have been participating from Monday to Friday at a film workshop focused on the pitch and the dissemination and export of an audiovisual work, and this work forms part of a series of training actions organized by the regional FSPI Cinema project in Central America (Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects), supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support of the National Audiovisual Institute (INA) and the French Center for Cinema and Animated Image.

Panama was selected through the Ministry of Culture to participate in this important and valuable project, focused on the development of the Cinematographic and Audiovisual industry in Central America. The program relies on three pillars: governance, audiovisual heritage conservation and the creation, production and dissemination of an audiovisual work.

Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, said that "these spaces are the ones that allow us to strengthen regional collaboration and to support ourselves jointly with an organized network of professionals to develop inter-institutional and multilateral activities and projects that will allow us to grow together."

Meanwhile, Sheila González, National Director of Cinema at MiCultura stated that this workshop will give participants the knowledge and tools to work to integrate the Central American film industry into the international market and create regional partnership links to achieve this goal.

Also at the opening of the workshop were Arnaud de Sury, Ambassador of France to Panama, and teachers Emmanuel Vieilly and Remy Jacquelín at the National Audiovisual Institute (INA), who are in charge of the workshop and representatives of (Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras).
