Dip 2026 Scholarship Call

The National Cinema Bureau of Panama (DICINE), in partnership with the International DPI Programme, offers a fellowship to participate in the 2026 edition of this training space. Those interested can participate up to January 12, 2026.
What's DIP?
DIP (Documentary, Intimidation and Scene Building) That's a international training programme That challenges known ways of thinking, learning and making films. It was created during the pandemic with The idea of enabling dialogue and meeting of artists from different parts of the world in a desolate and dystopic context.
From 2021DIP has put together a more than 70 filmmakers from 17 countriesfrom different and historically excluded contexts, offering a space for creation and training with well known guests as Lucrecia Martel, Petra Costa, Maite Alberdi, Roberto Minervini, Leila Guerriero, among others.
In 2026DIP will give an important step with the first face-to-face residence in the missionary jungle, "Filmar at the border", where international filmmakers will be found presentially, for a immersive experience in nature and in connection with the territory, and conduct short films in collaboration with local communities.
BECA DICINE PANAMÁ
The National Cinema Directorate of the Ministry of Culture of Panama financing the participation of national filmmakers in the 2026 edition of the DPI programme through A Fellowship that includes the Online Program (36 group sessions, 4 custom tutorials, 7 meetings with international guests, access to a professional impetus platform and a dedicated network), The "Filmar at the Frontera" residence (10 days in the missionary jungle with accommodation, food, subsistence, technical equipment, interdisciplinary workshops and mentoring by international guardians) and monitoring of the process (Accompanying progress, research and projects of the recipient throughout the year).
* That scholarship does not include an air ticket.
IMPLEMENTATION
The Open Call found open up to Monday January 12, 2026.
To sign up for DIP 2026, you have to send your post to a single PDF document of up to 10 MBThe document should include the following information:
1. Personal and contact details.
2. Life sheet / biography (1 page).
3. Previous work portfolio.
For audiovisual works include links and links available for viewing.
4. Motivation text to participate in space (up to 2000 characters).
5. Brief lines with about projects / ideas that are intended to work (up to 2000 characters).
The research process can develop new issues.

6. List of (minimum) 10 personal and artistic questions currently being put (up to 2000 characters).
7. Note applying for a scholarship with a detailed explanation of the reasons why it is required (up to 1500 characters).
