THE FESTIVAL FROM GUADALAJARA will be held from 20 to 27 NOVEMBER

l Guadalajara International Film Festival (FIGC) confirmed that its 35th edition will be held from November 20 to 27, 2020 at the Cineteca's headquarters at the University of Guadalajara.
In its statement, the FIGC organizing committee has put special emphasis on ensuring that it will have the necessary health measures to reduce the risks of contagion that have been generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the beginning of which coincided with the original dates of the Festival last March:

"Aware of the great impact that this pandemic had on the film industry and film tours, we believe that new dates and necessary protocols will be necessary to have an face-to-face festival that confirms the importance of bringing filmmakers closer to their assistants."
Nevertheless, they emphasize that during FIGC 35th, priority will be given to outdoor events and reduced functions to offer more security to attendees.

The Peruvian cinema, guest of honor

Peru will be the guest of honor, and will display its best film through films and a special selection chosen by the festival, as there are few Peruvian films that have been won in earlier editions of FIGC, such as Wiñaypasha, Aya and The Last afternoon.
The organization of the Peruvian presence has been supported by the Ministry of Culture through its Audiovisual, Photography and New Media (DAFO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PromoPeru.

The singing of the butterflies, by Nuria Frigola Torrent.
Competition of Ibero-American Fictiage Cortometry
The silence of the river, Francesca Canepa.

The 35th FIGC will give the Ibero-American Mayahuel to the work of Director Francisco Lombardi, who will present the restored versions of:

The town and dogs (1985)
The mouth of the wolf (1988)
Falling from the sky (1990)
Under the skin (1996)
Eyes That Do Not See (2003)
