PANAMA FILM LABS

The Hayah, Panama's International Cortometry Festival 2020, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Panama Cinema Direction (DICINE), calls for Panamanian filmmakers to participate in Panama's 5th Panama Film Lab to be held in Panama City from 16 to 21 November as part of the Festival.

The Lab aims at documentary and fictional projects, only at a stage of development, that are an opera for the director. It will seek communication and dialogue among the filmmakers involved and will give rise to co-production

A maximum of 8 projects will be selected:

• 3 projects selected by DICINE, participants of the Fondo Cine 2019 contest

• 5 Projects by implementation

Both the manager and the producer of each project can participate and they are ideal for both to participate and thus to contribute creatively from their respective areas to the construction of projects.

The call will be open from September 21 to October 15, 2020. The announcement of the selected participants will be made before November 6, through the social networks of the Festival and directly by email to those chosen who will have 3 working days to confirm their participation.

REQUIREMENTS and INDESCRIPTION

The registration at the workshop is free and will be performed by email. The organisation can interview local and foreign applicants by Zoom or by phone for more information about the projects required.

• Treatment of up to 10 pages or scale for documentary projects

• Finformation sheet

• Estimated development budget

• Status of project

• Events with which you have been interested

• Aims in Panama Film Lab

• Official contact for notifications

• 3 representative photos of the project in Jpg

• Reel from the director and / or link to Reader of the project if you have from 1 to 3 minutes
