FESTIVAL IARO PANAMA will come to these challenges in SEpTEMBER

The GECU of the Vicerectory of Extension at the University of Panama and the Foundation for Escenic and Audiovisual Arts (FAE) are organizing the 16th FESTIVAL OF CINE ICARO PANAMÁ 2023, which will again be presented at this issue in three provinces of the country: Panama, Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture - DICINE, and the collaboration of Casa Comal de Guatemala and inside under the co-ordination of the Montilla Foundation.

 

The ICARO PANAMÁ2023 continues to seek to extend its reach with a view to decentralizing the cultural and cinematic activity of the capital to provinces and to reach more public with this completely free event and with different dates, with them from 25 to 30 September, in the capital town with headquarters at University Cinema and from 2 to 6 October at David's University of Art GANCIA and the Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí and the Centro de Bellas Artes de Puerto Armuelles and Changuinola.

 

The program will include a selection of Central American films awarded at the last Icarus International Film Festival in Central America, with its headquarters in Guatemala.

A selection of films from around the world also awarded at that contest and the presentation of the Panamanian films selected by a local and international jury, from among them responded to this year's call to represent the country at that regional meeting next December.

 

The CIARO PANAMÁ 2023 will also have a training programme with workshops, discussions and round tables developed by filmmakers

with an invitation and national with a view to strengthening skills and knowledge

from midtown filmmakers, especially from the youngest.
