He relates to the lives of a wealthy man who's on vacation with his family at a resort in Acapulco, Mexico, until they get a call. There's been a death in his family, and they all have to come home. Nevertheless, man wants to lose his passport to delay his return.

With an immense inner void, the main character, performed by Tim Roth, seeks to escape reality, submerging his family into an abyss of lies that transcend every understanding and forces them to be alone.

The British Tim Roth, The main character of the film, stands out for its intriguing performance, that certainly becomes completely unpredictable and overwhelming. The film by renowned Mexican director Michel Franco will be projected during the closing gala of this 10ma edition and production that was released worldwide this year at the Venice Film Festival.

The film maker Michel Franco obtained a title in film direction from the New York Film Academy. His films include: Daniel and Ana (2009), Following Lucia (2012), To the Eyes (2014), Chronic (2015), The Daughters of April (2017) and New Order (2020). His style goes beyond the complex, as well as addressing social issues, it's a cinema that shines with silence and "dark daily clarity" as described by the complainant before his premiere.

The French director Leos Carax, is also a writer and film critic, recognized for his poetic and love style suffered in his films. His film includes Boy Meets Girl (1984), his first incursion into cinema, while his age was only 24. Other his most remarkable works are: Les Amants du Pont-Neuf (1991), Pola X (1999) and Holy Motors (2012).

That film was nominated for best international film at the 2020 Oscar Academy's. Inspired by a war drama in Bosnia's town in July 1995, the story revolves around the work of Aida, a UN translator in the small town of Srebrenica. When Serbian army occupies the town, his family is among the thousands of people who seek refuge in the UN fields. That's where they get involved with negotiations and have access to important information.

With this exclusive selection, a production is added that enriches the great variety of films currently at this 10th anniversary of the International Film Festival of Panama, on this occasion of Director Jasmila Žbanić, native to Bosnia, who also acts as a producer and writer and some of his film includes Grbavica: The Land of My Dreams (2006), On the Path (2010), For Those Who Can Tell No Tales (2013).

"A STORY OF LOVE AND DESIRE" (Une histoire d'amour et de désir)

A thriller from Director Leyla Bouzid, born in Tunisia and specialized in film management at La Fémis Institute, she also holds studies in French Literature at Sorbonne. With this, her second feature film, she achieves a level of depth that goes beyond a mere fall and that awakes far more than the desires in her protagonists, with a delicate and elegant script, far from the clichis of the genre.

Environmented in the suburbs of Paris, Ahmed, an 18-year-old French man with an Algerian descent, met at the university Farah, an energy-filled Tunisian girl who had just reached the capital. While discovering a collection of sensual and erotic Arabic literature that she had never imagined existed, Ahmed was pitifully in love with Farah and while she felt literally overwhelmed by his wish, she would try to resist him.

The film's work includes the short films Sbeh el Khyr (2006), Zakaria (2013) and his first feature film as I Open My Eyes (2015), which was awarded at the Venice Film Festival before being selected by many international festivals.
