Workshop The Sense of Cinema and Non-Fiction

The Center for Cinematographic Training and Training of the Experimental University Film Group of the University of Panama's Vicer of Extension in partnership with the Cinema Section of the Ministry of Culture of Panama, invite the Workshop The Sense of Cinema and Non-Fiction, taught by Mexican specialist Juan Manuel Sepúlveda, who will share his extensive experience in the universe of film creation, to be held virtual from June 14 to June 18, 2021.
OBJECTIVES
The aim of the workshop is to conduct a review of the film forms that are outside the realm of fiction and have been accompanied by cinema from its origin. At the end of the workshop, the students will have an historic picture of what is usually classified under the limited category "documentary cinema," especially with an "analytical body" about a diversity of forms of film work that put up with a more immediate relationship with reality.
Methodological
The course will be conducted with 5 sessions of 3 hours each. The sessions will be set up with an exhibitory nature with high interaction with the tallerists, using case analysis.
