SOUTH FUNCH CONFIRM AND ANNOUNCED A MentORIES AGENDA FOR DIRECTORIES FOR ANIMATION

South Ventana, the great Latin American film market held in Buenos Aires and established by Argentina's National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) and the Marché du Film of the Cannes Festival with the support of the European Commission's Creative Europe, confirms its date of conduct for this year: from 30 November to 4 December.

With the slogan "Welcome aboard!" and a motto that refers to the resistance of the world to the Covid-19 pandemic, "Alive and Kicking," South Window will put into display, as every year, the best of recent Latin American film production with buyers, exhibitors, sales agents and international festival programmers.

He has also announced the Special Programme of Mentories for Animations Directors with the support of Institut Français d'Argentine. The program is an Animation space!, the South Window Section that was born with the aim of promoting Latin American talent in the animation industry, and that more and more effectively goes into the world stage.

After five years of collaboration with the Annecy International Animation Festival and its MIFA market in which Animation! has convened 689 projects from 16 countries of the region, the will has arisen to generate a space to develop the potential of creators in an environment where few women gain their leadership role.

All Latin American projects and feature films that complete their registration with Animation! Pitching sessions 2020 and credit a woman to their leadership role will be eligible. Five projects will be elected by an international jury and will have a training given by three French specialists focused on production, script and pitch.

The Special Programme of Mensors will be held between January and March 2021 and will be performed virtual.

Once the projects complete their mentoring, two of them will be elected to MIFA from Annecy 2021. Also, their directors will be supported by the Institut Français d'Argentine to travel to France with paid expenses.
