International FESTIVAL FESTIVAL OF PANAMA, BANNABAFEST 2021

Cinema, Human Rights and the Environment at the same place, fifth edition of the International Human Rights Film Festival of Panama BannabáFest from 6 to 11 September 2021.
Human rights represent the best protection for the integrity of people and are the basis for establishing international standards and standards of civil life that are applicable at all levels of society.

Panama, August 2021 - The Centro Impresa and Sound Foundation (CIMAS) organizes the Panama International Human Rights Film Festival, BannabáFest, that will conduct its fifth edition from 6 to 11 September 2021 in a hybrid manner, for 6 days will project a selection of cinematographic works that address, disseminate, protect and promote human rights issues. Besides important dialogues, all dedicated to the environment, with a view to disseminating a cinema that sensitifies people who wish to live for the community, in an atmosphere of peace and respect.

Through films and talks, the festival aims at generating a space for reflection on human rights issues, contained in participating films from around the world and contributing to the construction of a country of justice, peace and equity.

During the conference, the production team of the BannabaFest published the select official program of nearly 45 films between documentaries, fiction and short, and they will be available from 6 September and that can be seen from the website www.bannabafest.com, at the virtual hall of University Cinema at the University of Panama and at the virtual hall "Cinema Varialities" at UDELAS. "We have to note that this series of projections are competing for important recognitions such as the Bannabá trophy, the Ricardo J. Alfaro prize and credit diplomas that are awarded to winners in the categories of documentary, fiction, short student and Panamanian film," Highlights Sovereign.
For this fifth edition of the BannabáFest select Jury is composed of: Sixta Diaz, Enrique Kirchamn and Winnie Siston, who have a great responsibility to select final winners.

Raisa Banfield
an architect with a profession who has dedicated many years and great efforts to care for the environment and as an environmental activist has a powerful voice oriented to protecting the at-risk ecosystems of Panama.
Serena Vamvas
Director at Fundación Movimiento MiMar, an environmental activist passionate about seeing a greener and cleaner country.
Sarideth Solís
Skatador, from the region Guna Yala. Sarideth Ailín Solís represented Panama at the half tidal skatting marathon in France.
Rodolfo Cunampio (Son)

Wladímir Uliantzeff
He was born in Panama City, the son of a Russian-Croatian father and a Panamanian mother but was brought up at Playa Corona, Santiago de Veraguas and the area of the Valle de Antón. Thanks to his father's guide, who emphasized the importance of working with the earth in harmony with nature, with his mother's sensitivities to his animal well-being and his love for his growing environment, Wladímir was awarded as an agronomic engineer by the Universidad EARTH (School of Agriculture of the Tropical Region Húmeda) of Costa Rica, after his Spanish and Spanish production and his local and local production centre and his local and his local family.
