MiCultura and COMMON JUNTS are united to promote AUDIVISUAL Tailors with an INMATERIAL CULTURAL FAMILY

The Ministry of Culture, through the National Cinema and Cultural Heritage and Cultural Heritage, conducted its project at the Community Board of Bethany: Introduction to Audiovisual Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Panama.

 

The activity was conducted in three sessions with the participation of 15 youth from the community of Bethany, who were trained about concepts of intangible and safeguard heritage as well as the creative use of cell phone using basic techniques, so that participants created their own cellumetages.

 

The workshop was dictated by the Director and Documentalist Orgum Wagua and the Licenada Eliceth Buitaga, both from the MiCultura's Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguard project team.

The new technologies display a range of aesthetic and narrative options in the field of audiovisual performance, which was used by workshop participants to tell a story about immaterial heritage at a (1) minute, through the techniques learned as the basic architecture of the story, the plans, camera movements and light, among other aspects of audiovisual performance.

 

With this initiative, the National Cinema Directorate aims to motivate young people to explore their skills in the audiovisual field and with the mission of the National Cultural Heritage Board to awaken their interest in the rescue and conservation of different expressions and manifestations of people's lives.

 

The Hon. Representative Abdiel Sandoya and the team of the Ministry of Culture have been awarded certificates of participation at the end of the workshop.
