Noting the growth of the film industries of the republics of Panama and Uruguay and conscious of the continuous evolution of their cultural relations, it has been decided to set up a framework for relations with regard to cinema and audiovisual, focused on co-production.

Through the National Cinematography and Audiovisual Office you can request:

• Permission to be granted to producers or production houses, registered with the National Registry of the Cinematographic and Audiovisual Industry, that require to introduce necessary equipment and goods for a given time, for filming within national territory.
• Exoneration of taxes related to the importation of goods, materials, products, equipment and other goods necessary exclusively for the conduct of film and audiovisual activity, as long as they do not belong to the national territory.

Through the National Cinematography and Audiovisual Office you can request:

• Certificado de Nacionalidad: A certification awarded by Panamanian nationality to cinematographic work confirms that the production house has been completed with the production process and complies with the regulations of the Cinema Act.
• Coproduction certificate: A document attesting to national audiovisual production work under co-production with foreign companies under bilateral or multilateral co-production agreements or agreements.
• Loan permission: A document attesting that the project has DICINE's permission to shoot in Panama. That document facilitates processes to get several institutional permits.
