GASTRONOMY OF ALSO LONG FALES IN MULAGA
Panama and Málaga met on Monday June 7 at the Albéniz Cinema with an overview of the short "I Know Well," directed by Abdel Filós as part of the Cinema Cocina, a gastronomic cycle at the Málaga Festival and with a presence of 15 Spanish and Ibero-American documentaries about the gastronomic universe and its sustainability.
"I know how best" is a documentary where women pioneers of local cuisine recipes in the Municipality of Highlands have been told about the origin and influence of some, and with good arguments they have shown how to blend their taste with the natural raw material and the experiences of local cooks throughout their lives. A sentimental point in the fires and the culinary production of back and forth.
That piece was defined by the organizers as "an exotic and different work that comes from the heart of the American continent." Besides being one of the 748 productions evaluated and then passing a first filter remained among the best 45 and later among the fifteen finalists.
The short film was produced jointly with the Fundación Comunidad and Universidad Western Colorado Estados Unidos, where a production was also made that talks about the gastronomy of Panama's highest lands.
"For the last few generations, people have been migrating to the great cities and have been leaping about their centuries of history. That's why a group of Panamanian Isthma mothers have been collecting and expanding traditional recipes that have become some of their country's most signage," this is the sign of 'I Know Well'.
The II Cinema Cocina Documentary Competition aims to highlight the value of the interesting audiovisual gastronomic issues currently occurring, and with twelve contest documentaries that choose to be recognised with the Silver Biznaga Awards to the best Gusto del Sur feature film with 5.000 euro, Silver Biznaga with the best Málaga Wine short film with 2.000 euro, Silver Biznaga with an award from the public for best feature and Silver Biznaga with an award from the public for best short film.
